Did you know that British Singer Estelle’s middle name is Fanta? I guess you didnt because i didnt too, i just found out now. Anyway, the ebony songstress was live on the scene for the 2018 BET Experience, after a lengthy music hiatus. She looked stunning and sounded as positive as ever on the Carpet and was clad in a red silk African ankara (print) longsleeve pant-suit by popular Nigerian designer Nuraniya. Also wearing a sleek middle-part and very subtle makeup, see more of Estelle’s look as you scroll.

I love it when the stars rep the African culture knowingly or unknowingly by wearing our attires. For this occasion, it was very befitting of Estelle, as she stepped out in Los Angeles to be a part of  the Black Entertainment Week. She attended the first ever BET Her TV Awards, where she performed on stage wearing her amazing outfit from Lagos-based Nuraniya #MadeinNigeria. If you watched the BET awards at all, and heard what Davido; the Best International act winner said in his acceptance speech (Watch here) “Come to Africa, eat our food and wear our clothes”…I guess Estelle is already in the spirit, we just need to get her down to African get her in the studio and feed her some Jollof rice!

The Nigerian designer also took to her Instagram page, to express her gratitude to Estelle for sourcing out the attire herself and not requiring her to go through any form of third-parties or toil. What can we say, Estelle is a darling with a great eye and she is super-talented for making stand-out pieces that dont need any third party opinions.

What do you think of Estelle in Nuraniya? I think she looks great and i cannot wait to hear her new music. The British singer finally follows up on her 2015 album True Romance with another one this year, set to be released in the first week of September.
Did you know while Estelle was on a break from her music she was lending her very British voice to some animation work?! Its a “did you know” quizzing kind of day for me so play along (lol). Estelle has been behind the microphone for a while, voicing the character of Garnet in Cartoon Network’s hit Animated Series #StevenUniverse
