This 2018 MET Gala like every other past one, brought forth all the great and mighty people in Hollywood and beyond. From Fashion’s Finest Creators to the Kings and Queens of  Music and all the Marvelously talented people of Hollywood. The famous steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, was flooded with Celebrities and Fashion Enthusiasts from all across the globe looking their very best on Fashions biggest Night.
This years theme “Heavenly Bodies; Fashion and the Catholic Imagination“, focused on religious iconography and its influence in fashion. The Celebrities didnt disappoint one bit, they showed up looking cosmic and indeed celestial. Here’s a look at what some of your favorite celebrities wore, from Rihanna to Cardi B to Blake Lively and of course the Kardashian-Jenner sisters. See all of their outfits after the cut.

Kim Kardashian West easily had one of the best looks of the night. Her gold Versace floor-length dress was nothing short of breath-taking and it hugged her curvy figure perfectly. Kim looked divine, from her effortlessly styled ponytail to her make up and minimal accessory, i say she nailed this look. #TheVaticanwillbeproud
And then there was Rihanna! The Barbadian beauty showed up looking Papal in Maison Margela.   Her outfit was the nights best creation and those bloody shoes fit right into the nights creative theme.
All hail Bishop T’challa!!! The Black Panther aka Chadwick Boseman ditched his catsuit for some jaw-dropping Versace cape suit, which he paired with some shimmery gold Louboutin loafers. He looks great!
Cardi B had an extra beauty advantage over the other ladies at the Met Gala, thanks to her au naturale pregnancy glow! How stunning does she look? For her very first MET Gala appearance, the Pregnant rapper hit the Capet looking ravishing in Moschino
SZA the great!!! The songstress looked like she literally descended from cloud 9 in this Versace number. A lot of Versace gowns on the carpet tonight.
Take two for SZA … pretty little bird pretty little bird …

Actress Kate Bosworth gave us a Mary did you know moment with her beaded pearl veil. She looked absolutely breathtaking in Oscar de la Renta

Take two. A full look of the Heavenly Beauty

Wa-Kanda MET Gala would it be, without Killmonger?! After all, its still the year of the Black Panther. The handsome Michael B. Jordan was on the scene looking dapper in Off-white.

Balmain loyalist Jennifer Lopez, struck her signature post in a custom made feathery number inspired by King Richard I. Jenny seems to be getting younger with each appearance.
Jlo showing off her train alongside her man Arod.
Blake Lively is Hollywood Royalty, so expect nothing but exceptional from her. She was all smiles on the carpet, in her heavily decorated Versace gown. It was indeed a Versace night. The actress credits her outfit to being inspired by a patriot of the infant Jesus of Prague.
Infant Jesus of Prague
Janelle Monae steady repping for the culture! The young black queen hit the red carpet in her signature colors, only this time, she switched up her Marc Jacobs outfit with some chain mail durag and a large boater hat.
Joan of Arc! Zendaya clearly didnt come to play. The singer and actress opted for a grey Versace number. She kept her hair short in a fringe and looked simple and elegant.

Hip-pop trio Migos have become a significant representative for the culture. They hit the the MET Gala carpet draped in Versace

Model Stella Maxwell was a sight for sore catholic eyes in Moschino! Designer Jeremy Scott who was on the scene really brought out his best for this years Met Gala.
Stella Maxwell and Jeremy Scott.
Rita Ora is one to always follow the theme and do her best at trying to interpret it. She looked beautiful in Prada.

Take two of the Confident Rita Ora posing for more pictures.

Amal Clooney really fits right into Hollywood. The Attorney was co-host of the night and she hit the vent along side her husband looking pretty in  Richard Quinn and Lorraine Schwartz jewelry.

Take 2 Amal and George Clooney, this is a money shot!

Solange Knowles has never been one to shy away from Art or Fashion. She hit the MET’s in a patent black strapless Iris Van Herpen.

Loving those perspex heel Solange. She was the only one from the #Beychella camp in attendance.

This is how you straight-up send the devil packing from Church!

Funny man Trevoh Noah kept it simple and dapper in Balmain. He’s was one of my favorite looks of the night.
Olivia Munn was one beautiful  Roman Soldier in a gold custom  made chain-mail dress by H& M.

Whats a Catholic event without a black widow? Madonna showed up looking surprisingly tamed and pretty in Jean Paul Gaultier. She looked beautiful too, cant not add that.

Easily one of the most Fashionable Men in Hollywood, Nick Jonas! He looked extremely dapper in his priestly Dolce & Gabbana.

Actress Amber Heard’s Caroline Hererra gown was red hot on the carpet.

Take two! Amber Heard is all laughs on the carpet.

It was a MET Gala Baptism for newcomer Yara Shahidi as she kept this angelic and effortless in Chanel.

Louis Vuitton’s newly appointed Creative Director Virgil Abloh repping his Off-White brand.

He posed with his Muse Kendall as he debuted the new Air Jordan 1, which had the inscription “For Red Carpet Only”.

British Model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley was a vision in her champagne custom Ralph Lauren number. Her modest outfit is inspired by the oil painting of Madonna by Italian artist Raphael Sanzio. Impressive right?
One thoughtful piece.

American Actress and producer Lena Waithe brought some color to the Carpet in Carolina Hererra.

Bollywood Beauty Priyanka Chopra was on the scene, looking beautiful in Velvet Ralph Lauren.

Sarah Jessica Parker was right on the catholic theme for the MET’s but im not sure how i feel about this Dolce & Gabbana number on her.

Take two of SJP making her way into the museum.

The Cultures most valuable creative Daniel Glover kept it simple in Gucci.

Take two of Daniel Glover’s back view.
Actress Salma Hayek was radiant in the scene in a custom dress by yet again Versace. Her artistic floor lenght dress was simply inspired by the Garden of Eden. Oh i wish we could go back and skin that snake for some meat and not shoes.

If Kendall Jenner was going for angelic at this years MET gala, then she gets the crown! The Supermodel looked as angelic as it comes in off-white
Supermodel Gigi Hadid looked radiant on the scene in an embellished, one-hand, thigh-baring Versace number. This really was one of the best crafted dresses on the carpet.

Brooke Sheilds looked classy in a strapless blue floor-lenght Zac Posen number, which she accessorized with some Tiffany bling! Her outfit didnt do anything for the nights theme but she sure did look spectacular.
Actress Ashley Graham caused a frenzy on social media with those thighs of hers as she posed in her strapless gold sequence Prabal Gurung gown. She anchored her outfit with some matching strappy sandals and kept it sleek in the make up and hair department.

Zoë Kravitz showed off a little lot of skin in Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello and Jacob & Co. jewelry

Model and Actress Emily Ratajkowski was also on the scene, decked in one of the most recurring colors of the night, gold. Her thigh-baring dress is by Marc Jacobs.

Gabrielle Union-Wade is one of my most favorite humans in the world, so when i saw her outfit at first glance, i was disappointed. She looked far from what the MET’s theme represented and Gabrielle usually shines at these things…Why Gabby?  She paired her Prabal Gurung yellow number with some matching bright yellow sandals.
The Golden Barbie! Model Jasmine Sanders was also on the scene, decked in a gold H&M number. She looks beautiful!
Supermodel Joan Small was on the scene looking absolutely amazing in a shimmery gold Tommy Hilfiger number. I’m still going to miss seeing you strut on the VS Runway Joan!

Chinese Supermodel Liu Wen kept it simple in a red and gold floral embellished Michael Kors number.

50-year-old Supermodel Cindy Crawford gets a pass for not indulging in the art of tonights theme because she makes anything look good and i really didnt expect anything from her. Her red floor-length number is by *drum roll* Versace
Supermodel Mommy Irina Shayk let her feathery Versace champagne dress do the talking while she posed for the camera. The Versace allegiance on the Carpet was the strongest.
Take two of Irina posing with her baby daddy, Hollywood’s very own Bradley Cooper. He looked dapper in all black Tom Ford
I tagged Kerry Washington’s look, How to Get Away with Scandal! Her Ralph Lauren dress and this look in general, was not my favorite and most certainly not her best.

This is the second year in a row Nicki Minaj has showed up in Red and black! These are not her colors and she didnt nail this look or the events theme. Better luck next time Nicki. She should have just come as Chung li!

Anne Hathway was easily my greatest disappointment for the night, only because i really really love her, but this Maison Valentino dress was a no no!

The Countess of the MET Gala, Eiza Gonzalez was on the scene looking stunning in a sequenced Prabal Gurung number. She also had one of the best beauty looks of the night.
Wherever there is a Kardashian “K’, there is Kris Jenner! The mommager opted for black feathery Tommy Hilfiger; i have seen Kris Jenner look better!
Legs! Legs and more Legs!!! Supermodel Gisele Bundchen was also on the scene and draped in the 100th Versace gown of the night. She looked great!

Kylie Jenner usually turns heads at these events but on this night, the new mom left her A-game at home and walked the Carpet with baby-daddy Travis Scott who looked extremely dapper in a military style black suit.
For some reason, Scarlett Johansson was trending on Twitter for her outfit. She wore a floral, ombre Marchesa gown made of tulle. Her fabric choice was not what broke the internet, Instead she was being dragged for wearing the brand since Marchesa’s co-founder Georgina Chapman was once married to producer Harvey Weinstein (They are now enstranged) who has been accused by dozens of women for assorted sexual misconduct. I guess now company History should be in strong consideration before choosing an outfit. Dear Hollywood (sigh).
And the Award for the 2018 MET Gala goes to Donatella Versace!!! The Italian Fashion Mogul owned the night as she commanded more than half the entire carpet.
They dont call the MET Gala Fashion’s biggest night for nothing! This years MET Gala was gold and the celebrities really brought on the heat. Easily the most fashionable event of the year so far with an all round impressive take on fashion from almost everyone in attendance. Who had your best look of the night, who inspired you the most with their outfit choice?

Also, for those angry about the religious misappropriation, Firstly, you should know that the Vatican approved of the exhibit and even lent the Met museum about 50 garments and accessories for the show. Secondly, people (by people i mean non-Catholics) would interpret fashion to the best of their knowledge without putting into cognizance the significance it holds in reality. Its is a Fashion Gala, its meant to be Artistic and Fun and then again its Hollywood. Take a chill pill or two and just enjoy the outfits and drop your humble comments or criticisms.
